Housing Support

Arrigoni East and West

Arrigoni programs provide recovery-focused Housing Support with Supplemental Services (formerly known as GRH) and are designed for adults identifying as male recovering from substance use and mental health disorders, are medically stable, have stabilized their substance use and any co-occurring mental health conditions, and are capable of basic independent living skills such as maintaining a schedule, routine hygiene, and laundry.

Individuals qualify for Housing Support if they have successfully completed a substance use or mental health disorders residential treatment program or have a basis of eligibility through General Assistance (GA) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and have had their application approved.  To apply, individuals need to submit both the Arrigoni Housing Support Application (PDF or Word) and Professional Statement of Need to the NUWAY Alliance Residential Admissions team.

Arrigoni was started by Virginia Arrigoni in 1973. After receiving treatment and entering recovery, Arrigoni committed her life to helping other people who needed supportive housing after completing treatment. Like NUWAY® founders, Arrigoni realized that supportive housing is essential to accessing the stability, services, and fellowship vital to lasting recovery. So committed was Arrigoni to her mission that she turned her own home into a recovery-supportive halfway house. Today, Arrigoni East and Arrigoni West continue to help residents remain in recovery and help give them a foundation of safe housing from which to thrive.

NUWAY Recovery Foundation, part of the NUWAY Alliance, is committed to continuing and growing the Arrigoni vision and the tradition of excellence for which Arrigoni is known.
