Carl gained his experience in the field working for 7 years at an adolescent residential treatment facility as a CD tech and counselor prior to joining NUWAY team. He earned his bachelor's degree in addiction counseling through MCTC and Metro State University. He also has a Master’s degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership and is passionate about helping remove barriers to treatment through advocacy and policy change. Outside of work Carl loves all things outdoors and off-road from mountain biking to 4x4 driving. Carl, his partner, and their daughter travel often to national parks and wilderness areas to bike, hike, and camp.
