Brian is an LADC and also has a teaching license. He works at both NUWAY-Duluth Counseling as well at the DOC in Lino Lakes. He received his BS from UW Superior in teaching (Social Sciences) and received his counseling certification from FDLTCC in Cloquet, MN. In 2004, he started as a teacher in a sober school, eventually obtained his LADC in 2011, and worked with adolescents until 2012. Brian has worked in an outpatient setting with Nystrom & Associates for 3 years and the DOC (Department of Corrections) for 8 years. Working with addiction and issues that come with addiction has been a passion of his for many years. It is challenging and humbling as the more he thinks he understands, the more he realizes how little he knows. And a parent's joy is his children's children. The rest of Brian's time is spent with his children and grandchildren.
