Lisa S., MA, LADC

Counselor

Lisa graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2021 with a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services. She received her Bachelor of Art degree in Applied Psychology and Human Relations from Saint Cloud University in 1994 followed by receiving a Chemical Dependency and Family Therapy Certificate from the College of Saint Catherine in 1997. She is working on competing her clinical supervision hours to obtain her Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPPC) license.

Lisa is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and has over 25+ years working with adults who struggle with co-occurring substance use and mental health concerns. Her clinical interests include trauma, addiction, and mental health.  She works most effectively and efficiently utilizing an integrative therapeutic approach through the delivery of evidence-based practice strategies (client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness…) and believes in providing a safe place and space for clients to be vulnerable, without fear of shame or judgement. She is passionate in helping clients to find their voice and gaining internal strength to advocate for their personal and mental well-being and quality of life. Lisa also enjoys spending time outdoors (running, biking, hiking…) and being at one with nature.
