Danita completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Metropolitan State University and has 16 years of experience as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has history of working with adolescents in both outpatient and residential programs. Her ultimate passion, to empower women, led to her transition into residential treatment working with women whose lives have been impacted by substance use, mental health, and trauma. Danita has also completed some graduate level coursework in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University. She values self-care which enables her to engage in the things she loves most such as spending time with her granddaughter, going to the movies, swimming, camping and cruise line vacationing. Danita is grateful to be at a phase in her career where she gets to be at the forefront to foster hope of freedom from active addiction for her clients. She feels empowered and inspired to excel at NUWAY.
