Alyssa received her Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in 2019 and Master of Social Work degree and LADC from Augsburg University in 2021. Alyssa currently holds licensure as an LGSW and LADC and is in supervision for her LICSW. She works from a strengths based approach and uses CBT, motivational interviewing and person-centered therapy modalities. Alyssa is passionate about advocacy and meeting people where they are at in their journeys. Prior to joining NUWAY, she worked with adolescents and their families in a co-occurring day treatment program, as well as in outpatient therapy for adolescents, adults and families. In her free time, she enjoys getting lost in a good book, taking walks outside, and exploring local live music.
