Julie received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Individualized Studies with a focus area in Correctional Substance Abuse Counseling from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science Degree in Co-Occurring Disorders Recovery Counseling at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has degrees in Human Services, Criminal Justice, and Alcohol & Drug Counseling. She has worked in the field of Human Services and Corrections for several years. She has experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, mental health and individuals who are incarcerated, on probation and parole. She has worked in detox, inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities for chemical dependency and mental health.
