Recovery Research Institute Study Shows Recovery Residences Offer Vital Benefits

Recovery Research Institute

A study published by the Recovery Research Institute finds that the use of recovery residences during outpatient substance use disorder treatment provides important benefits. The study indicates that recovery residences offer safe living environments, accountability, and peer support and that people using these resources remain in treatment longer and complete treatment at a higher rate. NUWAY’s R.I.S.E. (Recovery In Supportive Environments) model offers intensive outpatient treatment with optional recovery residence support for those individuals assessed as housing insecure based on ASAM’s Dimension Six (Recovery Environment).
